Tumble Dryer Not Heating
Clean Filters and Vents First
Remove and clean the lint filter, rinse the condenser unit under warm water, and check the external vent flap is not blocked. Poor airflow is the number one cause of a tumble dryer not heating.
Heating Element or Thermostat
If cleaning does not help, the heating element may have burned out after years of cycling on and off. A faulty thermostat or tripped thermal cut-out can also shut the heater down permanently. Both are relatively inexpensive repairs.
Call an Engineer If Still No Heat
If the filters are clear and the machine still will not heat, the fault likely needs professional diagnosis. Control board faults, timer issues and wiring problems all require specialist tools.
