Induction Hob Not Working

2026-05-221 min read

Pan Compatibility and Error Codes

Induction hobs only work with ferromagnetic pans. Hold a magnet to the base — if it does not stick, the pan is incompatible. F0/E0 means no pan detected. F1/E1 means overheating — check ventilation gaps. F2/E2 points to a faulty sensor.

Ventilation and When to Call

Hobs need 50–70mm clearance below and around the unit. Blocked vents cause overheating and safety cut-outs. If pan compatibility, codes and ventilation are all correct but the hob still will not heat, you likely have an internal board or wiring fault that needs an engineer.
